Supporter Spotlight – Collin Chan

December 14, 2020

Collin has been a monthly donor to 10ThousandWindows since 2014! Without the dedicated generosity of our donors, our work restoring the lives of human trafficking survivors would not be possible.

We took a few minutes to get to hear from Collin about why he supports 10ThousandWindows.

Q & A with Collin Chan, Monthly Supporter

Q: You’ve been a supporter of 10ThousandWindows for several years now. What was it that drew you to the organization in the first place and what keeps you supporting this work?

Collin:

I learned about 10ThousandWindows when I met Matt Aspegren, a co-founder of the ministry, in my church’s small group around 2014. Through him, I came to learn about the important work that 10ThousandWindows does in the Philippines. I believe that the work 10ThousandWindows does represents a good model of the kind of work that Jesus calls us to do, to help our neighbors find lasting freedom by equipping them with the skills that specific life circumstances have prevented them from acquiring.

It is easy for us to forget the many out there who are impacted by modern slavery, and I am very thankful for those who serve with 10ThousandWindows and for the work that they do.

I am glad that God has allowed me to support this ministry for a few years by doing the little that I can.

Q: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself? (Where you are located, what you do for work, what you do for fun?)
Collin:
I reside in Jersey City, NJ, and work as a financial analyst. I enjoy swimming, hiking, singing, watching movies, and solving math puzzles.
