Raised in the middle of the Canadian prairies, Amie gained her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, then promptly left the country in search of adventure and important stories to tell. Over the past 14 years, Amie has worked in non-profit communications for international development and counter-trafficking organizations in Cambodia, Canada, Suriname, Thailand, and the United States. Now based in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, she brings a strong combination of field and technical experience to her role. When she isn’t working, Amie loves adventuring with her husband and three daughters, hiking, taking dance classes, and reading as much as possible.
