Responsible for the original design of 10ThousandWindows, Laura returned in 2018 to serve as the organization’s technical advisor. Laura is a social work practitioner and researcher specializing in human trafficking and gender-based violence (GBV), with over 15 years of regional experience. Her work broadly targets the development of more effective and empowering services for human trafficking survivors in Southeast Asia. She is a Fellow at Harvard University’s Carr Center for Human Rights Policy where she conducts participatory research. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University, an MSSW and Ph.D. from Columbia University, and has completed post-doctoral training in trauma recovery and GBV from LSHTM and Harvard University.
